It's Fun Being an Angel!!

I'm having a blast at Seminar!! And guess who I finally got to meet??!! Nancy Grant!!! I met her through my blog quite awhile back and she is just an amazing person. Nancy is such a sweet person and I'm so happy to be an Angel with her.

Yesterday was jam packed with tons of great stuff. We got the new Fall/Winter catalog in our hot little hands at 8:30 am and started tearing through it. There are some fantastic new paper lines, stamps and embellishments. Later in the day we got to play with a lot of the new products. I have some awesome projects that I can't wait to present at my FunShops!!!

You've got to see this new catalog! They are just $5 each- please let me know if you'd like to get your hands on one.

One last picture to share with you for now...check out this table! Look at all these paper punches! Only a paper crafter would understand. LOL!

The Farm

My family and I went to my grandparent's farm this past weekend. The farm is way out in the boonies in central Kansas. I have great memories from that place. There is a creek that runs through the property and I can remember playing in it with my cousins. I also have a few memories of snakes...yuck!!

The farm once belonged to my great grandparents and now my mom's folks own it. My grandparents have done a lot of work to the farm over the years and they always keep everything looking so nice. I love going out there!

Fun with Scraps

I'm in the process of finishing up trades for the TAC Seminar and stumbled upon an idea for a little 3x3 card. My original project required me to use my corner rounder and when I was done I was left with lots of pink and orange triangles. I glued the triangles onto a piece of white cardstock and then used pop dots to attach it to my 3x3 card.

Well, I have 10 more cards to make, so I better get back to work. Oh, I've gotten back in to quilting and I hope to have a finished quilt to show in the next week or so. Speaking of quilting...this card looks like a little miniature quilt, doesn't it?

Sneak Peak

My friend Nicole and I will be heading to the TAC Seminar one week from today! We are super excited!!! I've been with TAC a little over three years and Nicole has been with them a little less than a year. This will be the first time for Seminar for both of us. We got together yesterday to finish planning our trip and to work on a special project that we'll be taking with us to Seminar. Here's a sneak peak and I'll show off the whole project when I get back.

Limited Supply Challenge

I participated in a Limited Supply Challenge over at PW. The challenge was to create a gift tag using only certain supplies. This is the tag I came up with. I have so much fun participating in these challenges. They really help me to get my creative juices flowing.

I'm so excited- I submitted two cards to
TAC for their monthly contest and I also submitted a card to Paper Crafts magazine. Now the wait. It's so nerve wracking to allow others to judge your work, but it's so cool when you find out that someone else really likes your stuff. I'll let you know how things go.

Supplies-
Frutti Fusion (retired TAC paper)
Retro Butterflies (current TAC Hostess set)
Purple DCWV cardstock
white cardstock
Lilac Copic Marker
Misc. ribbon and eyelet

Tagged

I've been tagged by a couple of fellow bloggers. I usually don't join in, but I'll go ahead and answer these questions- they sound like fun.

Barb has tagged me! The "rules" of the game: Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.

Ten years ago: 1998- I had just graduated from high school and was touring with a music group called 'Highest Praise' (based from Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO). Later that summer I started my first job at a Sirloin Stockade, in Aug. I started junior college as a music major and in Oct. met my future husband. Currently- I've been married for almost 9 years and I'm not a music teacher...I teach kindergarten. :)

Five things in todays 'to do list':
1. mail off my TAC contest entries for July
2. learn the music for Vacation Bible School
(I'm helping lead the music again this year...see this post)
3. do some cleaning
4. get creative at my craft desk
5. relax a bit...that's a hard one for me

Snacks I enjoy:Peanut Butter M & M's

Things I would do if I was a millionaire:
I'd get my mother the greatest medical care money can buy, I'd pay off mortgages and bills of family members, I'd build a big house that had a huge craft studio that my DH and I could share, I'd help others that were in need...the list goes on and on....

Places I have lived: all in Kansas...Cottonwood Falls, Delphos, Altamont, Oswego, and Parsons.

I will now tag: I'm not going to tag this time, maybe next time.
