Pico and 'You Make My Day' Awards-
Thank You!
Thank you Angie!!
I was given this award by Angie. Wow! Thanks Angie! I met Angie about a year ago on the Paper Wings forum- she's one of the fabulous ladies that helped create the awesome forum.
O.K., here's how this works-
There are 5 rules attached to this and they are:
1) You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve
this award for their creativity, design, interesting
material, and also contributes to the blogging
community, no matter what language.
2) Each award has to have the name of the author and
also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
4) Award-winner and the one who has given the prize
have to show the link of "Arte y Pico" blog , so
everyone will know the origin of this award.
5) To show these rules.
The 5 blogs that I choose are:
Nicole Dean
Jen Carter
Nancy Grant
Jen Bluestein

Note Holder
This note holder was inspired by a project called Tuttie Frutti 'You've Got Mail' Door Hangar. You can view the project here at TAC's new blog- Savvy Projects.
The original project used sheer scalloped coasters, but I only had regular coasters on hand. I'm very happy with the finished product. There is ribbon on both sides and that really makes it look like a cute little purse.
My note cards are constructed from 9" x-2 1/2" pieces of cardstock. Laying the cardstock lengthwise, I scored at 3-1/8" and 8". Instead of using staples as my closure, I used a diecut flower and an eyelet. It worked out pretty well.
I'll be using this project at my FunShops this weekend. I'm hoping it'll be a big hit!
Supplies:
Juliette SWIC paper
Juliette Florals
Tag Tidbits
misc. eyelets, ribbon, 4x4 coasters, flower and bookplate die
Juneberry Bazzill cardstock
misc. cream and brown cardstock
Wheat VersaMagic ink
Burnt Umber Palette Ink

Oh My!
I just found out that I won some free stamps from TAC!! I'm sooooo excited! The Angel Company holds contests for their demonstrators each month and the prize is FREE stamps. I love to make cards, so the 'Terrific Trio' contest is right up my alley. :) For these three cards I used 'Amberley Grace' patterned paper and one of my favorite stamp sets, 'Deco Designs'. The stamping technique I used is called 'Rock 'n Roll'. I inked the bird in my teal ink and then rolled the edges of the stamp into brown ink. I just love the look it gives!

This was my first 'Angel' event and is was so much fun. I made 20 amazing projects, ate great food, and made new friends, too. :) If Jen plans another Angel Gathering I will plan to go again. What a great experience!

I'm still here...really!! I have been very busy and haven't been to my craft table in over a week. I plan to post at the beginning of next week about my trip I'm taking this weekend. Three other friends and I are going to an Angel Gathering in Arkansas. It starts tonight at seven and goes all day on Saturday, too. We'll be making over 20 projects and I can't wait to get started!!! Jen Bluestein is heading up the event.
