Robots

I took part in a color combo challenge over at PW. We were challenged to use blue, coral, yellow and white. As soon as I sat down to start working I knew that I just had to use TAC's new Robot set. This set is SO cute!!

I was able to get my table and light tent set back up and hopefully I'm back in business for picture taking. Now I just need to find my camera charger...I'll get my act together pretty soon!

Supplies-

Robot stamp set
Yellow, blue and coral DCWV cardstock
white cardstock
Prismacolor watercolor pencils

No Squares Here!

I was asked to design a scrapbook page for a challenge going on at PW for NSD. I love to do smaller scrapbook pages and this 6x9 layout was a lot of fun to work on. The challenge offered to other PW members was to create a layout that was not your typical square layout.

My layout is very simple with few embellishments, but I like it that way. You can do a lot with some paper scraps and a little VersaMark. :) This is my cute little neice, Cylee. My husband and I got to spend a whole day with her and her older brother, Calin, last August and we had a blast!! This will be a great page to help remember that day.

Supplies-
A Little Whimsy
purple, teal and white cardstock
VersaMark
scallop edge punch
Graphic Blooms

Fishy

Check out this fun birthday card! I used TAC's Something's Fishy stamp set. This little fish looks like it has some attitude and it makes me laugh.

My VersaMark didn't create a very good watermark on this green paper, so I used Landscape Palette ink instead and I think it worked out pretty good.

I created this card for a 'limited supply' challenge over at PW. A couple of things we had to follow were to include a faux ribbon and only use black ink. I used Cha Cha paper for my faux ribbon and thought it added just the right touch to the card, but if you recall, I mentioned that I used 'Landscape' to make my watermark...I was only aloud to use black ink! So, that put me out of the challenge- but that's ok because I still ended up with a great card. I'll have to try again with next weeks challenge and pay closer attention to the rules! :)

Supplies-
Something's Fishy
Landscape Palette ink
StazOn ink
Cha Cha SWIC paper
purple and green cardstock
Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils

Treasury

I just discovered that I'm in a treasury at Etsy.com. (My item is the brightly colored clipboard...my shop name is LadyGil. ) A treasury is "a member curated gallery of short-lived lists of 12 hand-picked items." It's just cool to know that someone out there chose one of my items to feature. Etsy is a big, big place with thousands of items for sale!

This is the second treasury that I've been in...that I've known of. I just learned that there will be a yellow start by the treasury if you have an item featured in it- and you must be logged in, of course, to see the star.

Before I go- here is a card that I created for a sketch challenge over at PW. Angie is in charge of the sketch challenges and I'm having so much fun with them!

Supplies-
Uptown Girl patterned paper
Be Authentic stamp set
black cardstock

Color Challenge

Jen offered a color challenge over at PaperWings and this is the card that I designed. I used DCWV cardstock in the following colors- Raspberry 1, Plum 1, Robin's Egg 2, and Green 2.

My friend Nancy tells me that I have a linear style and this card definitely shows it!! LOL! I love order and clean lines.

School is out today because of ice, so I'm going to head back to my craft desk to see what else I can accomplish today!!

Supplies-
DCWV cardstock
white cardstock
pop dots
misc. ribbon

I completed another entry for a PW contest. The challenge was to get creative with office supplies. I embellished thumbtacks to make some cool push pins for my bulletin board. I used Yes! glue to glue a washer to the top of a thumbtack and then embellished the top of it. I spread mod podge across my stamped image just to seal it a little and give a shiny look. I'll let you know how the Yes! glue holds up. I'm going to let these dry over night and then put them to the test.

Supplies:
Blooming Builders
DCWV cardstock- yellow 2, red 2, blue 2, and green 2
black ink
thumbtacks

Clamshell Creation

The Angel Company packages their rubber stamps in plastic 'clamshell' boxes. The boxes tend to pile up and Angie issued a challenge over at PW. Her challenge was to come up with creative uses/projects for clamshell boxes. I designed a piece of artwork that could be displayed inside of the smallest clamshell box, the GWP box (Gift With Purchase). The GWP boxes have have a little hanging tab, so I tied ribbon across the top of it and then the little box can be hung up to display.

To add dimension to my artwork, I layered my Starburst Floral images by placing pop dots between the layers. I also used pop dots to raise the butterfly wings. For a closer look, just click the images.

Check out more clamshell creations in the Paper Wings Gallery Contest section.

Supplies:
Starburst Florals
Spring Dream
Miss Moxie (Soar With It Collection)
L'Amore Palette ink
Noir Palette ink
red cardstock
misc. ribbon
